What the Mercado Pago Merchant Sees

When you complete a supported Mercado Pago merchant QR payment with Peanut, the merchant receives ARS through its normal Mercado Pago merchant flow. Peanut shows your payment result separately, so both sides can confirm the same purchase before you leave the checkout.

What the Merchant Sees

The merchant uses its Mercado Pago checkout QR and receives the usual merchant-side payment confirmation. The settlement is in Argentine pesos. The merchant does not need to understand how your Peanut balance works, but you should still wait for its confirmation rather than treating the scan itself as proof of payment.

The merchant's display may use its own store, terminal, or order information, and the exact payer label can vary. Compare the merchant, amount, time, and completed status.

Mercado Pago's official QR documentation describes merchant orders as connected to a store or point of sale. Peanut's supported flow pays that merchant order; it does not turn the QR into an arbitrary transfer to an alias, CVU, or personal account.

What You See in Peanut

Before confirmation, Peanut shows the merchant name, amount in ARS, amount from your digital-dollar balance, and exchange rate. Compare the merchant and ARS amount with the checkout. The displayed quote locks when you confirm.

Afterward, Peanut shows the result. A completed result means the QR payment is final in Peanut. A failed or stuck result is automatically returned to your Peanut balance. Keep the result screen until the merchant confirms that the same purchase arrived.

What This Merchant Receipt Does Not Create

The merchant's receipt does not create or fund a Mercado Pago wallet for the Peanut user, and it does not place a Mercado Pago balance under the user's control. The payment is a merchant purchase from the user's Peanut balance.

Receiving is separate, and withdrawal to your own Mercado Pago account requires Argentine verification; both are outside this merchant-receipt page, and the QR never becomes a third-party account transfer. If the Two Sides Disagree

First, compare the Peanut result with the merchant's confirmation. Check the merchant name, ARS amount, and time. Do not submit a second payment while the first result is unclear, because two completed confirmations are two final payments.

If Peanut shows failed or stuck, wait for the automatic return. Contact support if the amount does not return. If Peanut shows completed but the merchant cannot locate the order, keep both screens and use the QR troubleshooting guide to gather the details support needs.

Peanut cannot reverse a completed QR payment. If compensation is needed after a completed purchase, resolve it directly with the merchant outside the Peanut payment flow; do not assume that either side can cancel the completed payment in the app.
