Send money to Colombia
Fund a Peanut Link and share it. Your recipient claims digital dollars in Peanut after one side completes identity verification.
Peanut gives you a direct way to send digital dollars to someone in Colombia. You fund your Peanut balance through an option available in your account, create a funded Peanut Link, and share it with the recipient.
The recipient opens the Link and claims the full amount into Peanut. One side of the Link must complete identity verification. The recipient does not need an existing Peanut account before opening it.

What the recipient gets in Colombia
Local payments in Colombia include Transfiya and local wallets. A Peanut Link does not pay through Transfiya or local wallets, and the claim itself stays in digital dollars. The recipient gets digital dollars in Peanut.
After the claim, the recipient can hold the balance, withdraw it to a compatible wallet, or withdraw it in Colombian pesos (COP) to their Colombian bank account. A bank withdrawal needs identity verification. The recipient types the amount in pesos, and the app shows the rate and the amount the bank gets before confirming.
Use the correct currency and network
For a wallet withdrawal, the recipient must choose a currency and network supported by both Peanut and the destination wallet:
- USDC: Solana, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, or Ethereum.
- USDT: Solana, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Ethereum, or Tron.
Tron supports USDT only. The recipient should copy the address from the destination wallet and select the same network in Peanut. A wrong currency, address, or network can cause a permanent loss. The app's withdrawal screen is the current source for availability, minimums, and the amount the wallet will receive.
Costs and timing
Peanut does not charge to create a Link or claim it into a Peanut balance. The sender's bank, wallet, or exchange may charge to fund the balance. If the recipient later withdraws, Peanut shows the amount and any delivery cost before confirmation. A withdrawal in COP includes the conversion cost in the rate, and the minimum is 4,000 COP.
Withdrawals on Ethereum, Tron, and Solana include a network delivery cost. Peanut covers gas on other supported withdrawal networks. Availability and minimums can change, so review the current quote in the app instead of relying on an old amount.
A funded Link claimed into Peanut appears immediately in the recipient's balance. This timing does not include the sender's funding step or a later wallet withdrawal, which depend on the selected route and network.
FAQ
Does the recipient need a Peanut account before I send?
No. You create and fund the Link first. The recipient opens it and can create or sign in to an account to claim the digital dollars.
Who completes identity verification?
One side must be verified. If the sender is verified, the recipient can claim without completing a second verification. If the sender is not verified, the recipient must verify.
