Use Peanut at shops in Argentina with a supported Mercado Pago merchant QR. Ask the cashier whether they accept Mercado Pago QR, then scan the code in Peanut to check that payment is available. A store logo or category alone does not confirm compatibility.

Check the QR before paying

A merchant may show a printed QR or generate one on a screen for the purchase. The code can include the amount, or you may need to enter it. Check the merchant name and peso amount in Peanut before confirming.

Peanut’s current merchant-payment flow supports compatible Mercado Pago QR codes. MODO and Cuenta DNI QR codes are not supported in this flow. These are Peanut’s compatibility limits; another wallet’s ability to scan a code does not establish that Peanut can use it.

Fund your Peanut balance using an option available to your account and complete the verification required for QR payments. An eligible visitor can use passport-based QR verification without an Argentine bank account or DNI. Local ARS bank deposits and withdrawals have separate residence, tax-ID and own-account requirements.
