What Are My Transaction Limits?

Peanut transaction limits depend on your region and the type of operation. Users in the US, Europe, and Mexico have no hard limit. Users in Latin America have a $2,000 USD monthly limit that can be increased with additional documentation. Crypto operations have no limits at all.

Limits by Region

US, Europe & Mexico

  • No hard limit on deposits, withdrawals, or payments
  • Transactions above $100,000 may trigger additional manual review
  • No per-transaction cap

Argentina, Brazil & Rest of Latin America

  • $2,000 USD per month — combined across bank deposits, bank withdrawals, QR payments, and cash ATM withdrawals
  • Resets at the start of each calendar month
  • Can be increased by submitting additional documentation — contact support

QR Payments — Foreign Users

  • Users paying with QR in Argentina or Brazil without local verification have a $2,000 per transaction limit

Crypto Transactions

  • No limits — send and receive freely between wallets
  • No verification required for crypto deposits or withdrawals

Cash ATM Withdrawals

  • Limits are set by the ATM operator, not by Peanut
  • Vary by machine and network

What Counts Toward the Monthly Limit

In Latin America, the $2,000 monthly limit covers:

  • Bank deposits (SEPA, ACH, wire)
  • Bank withdrawals
  • QR payments (Mercado Pago, Pix)
  • Cash ATM withdrawals

It does not count crypto deposits or crypto withdrawals — those are unlimited.

Peanut Card Limit

The Peanut Card has its own configurable card limit, separate from the regional limits above. You can change it anytime from the Card screen in the app — the limit controls how much of your balance is set aside for card payments (see how Peanut Card funding works). Identity verification is required for all cardholders, and card use is subject to eligibility requirements and applicable limits. The card is currently in closed beta, rolling out gradually through a waitlist — check if you're eligible to skip the waitlist at peanut.me/shhhhh.
