How to Deposit from MetaMask to Peanut

MetaMask is the most widely used self-custody wallet and supports all EVM-compatible networks plus Solana. Send USDC, USDT, or DAI from MetaMask to your Peanut deposit address — Peanut charges no deposit fees, and gas costs are under $0.10 on most L2 networks.

Once your balance arrives, your money is held in digital dollars. You can pay at over a million merchants in Argentina, send Pix in Brazil, send money to anyone, or withdraw to a bank account in 40+ countries.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • MetaMask installed and connected to the correct network. MetaMask supports Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche, and Solana. Make sure you are on the network where your stablecoins are held.

  • USDC, USDT, or DAI in your MetaMask wallet. You need the stablecoin on a Peanut-supported network.

  • Native tokens for gas. You need a small balance of the network's native token (ETH, MATIC, SOL, or AVAX) to pay gas fees. Without this, the transaction cannot be sent.

  • A verified Peanut account. Verification takes under 2 minutes.

FAQ

How long does a deposit from MetaMask to Peanut take?+

Most deposits arrive within 1–10 minutes. Solana and Polygon are the fastest at under 1 minute. Arbitrum and Base take 1–2 minutes. Ethereum can take up to 10 minutes during congestion.

What do I need to pay gas fees?+

You need a small balance of the network's native token in your MetaMask wallet. For Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base, you need ETH. For Polygon, you need MATIC. For Solana, you need SOL. For Avalanche, you need AVAX. Without this native token balance, MetaMask cannot submit the transaction.

Does MetaMask support Tron?+

What happens if I send on the wrong network?+

Sending on a network that does not match your Peanut deposit address will result in permanent loss of funds. Always confirm MetaMask is connected to the same network shown in Peanut.

My deposit from MetaMask has not arrived — what should I do?+

Check the transaction in MetaMask's activity tab. Copy the transaction hash and look it up on the block explorer for your network. If confirmed on-chain but not in Peanut, contact support with the hash. See the deposit troubleshooting guide.
