Send Digital Dollars to Family with a Link

Send a funded link that your family member can claim into a personal digital-dollar balance.

A family transfer should be clear about what the recipient gets and how they can use it. A Peanut Link carries funded digital dollars. It does not deposit money directly into Mercado Pago or Pix.

Send a funded Peanut Link

The sender adds money to a personal Peanut balance, creates a Link, chooses the amount, and shares it. The recipient opens the Link and claims the full amount into Peanut. One side of the Link must be verified: if the creator is verified, the claimer can receive the Link without completing verification first.

A claim into Peanut has no separate claim fee. Funding, currency conversion, a later bank transfer, or delivery to an external network can have different costs. The app shows the relevant amount or quote before confirmation.

Use the claimed balance

After the recipient completes the verification required for QR payments, they can use the claimed digital dollars for supported merchant QR payments.

Family in Argentina

The recipient can pay a compatible Mercado Pago merchant QR after verification. This is a payment from Peanut, not a direct Link claim into Mercado Pago. Local ARS withdrawals require Argentine residence, a local tax ID, and the recipient’s own eligible account.

Family in Brazil

The recipient can pay a compatible Pix merchant QR after verification. A third-party Pix-key payment is separate from a Link claim. A local BRL withdrawal requires Brazilian residence, CPF, and the recipient’s own eligible account.

Choose a funding route

Eligible verified senders can use the bank route available for their residence. SEPA starts at €1, ACH and USD wire at $1, and Faster Payments at £3. Digital-dollar deposit minimums are shown in the app. A bank, wallet, or exchange may charge the sender.

Review the pricing guide and the final quote before creating the Link.

Questions

FAQ

Do I need a local bank account to pay a merchant QR?+

No. Passport-based verification can unlock supported merchant QR payments in Argentina and Brazil without a local bank account for that payment flow.

How do I add funds?+

Use the bank or digital-dollar deposit route shown for your verified account and meet the minimum displayed in Peanut.

How do I compare costs?+

Compare the same action and amount. Review Peanut’s current all-in quote plus any fee charged by the sending bank, wallet, exchange, or delivery network.

Can a Link claim go directly to Pix or Mercado Pago?+

No. The recipient claims into Peanut first, completes the verification required for QR payments, and then uses a supported merchant QR.
