This guide walks you through finding your referral link, sharing it, and understanding what happens after someone signs up.
Your Referral Link and Code
Every Peanut user has a unique referral link and referral code. Both do the same thing — when someone uses either one to sign up, they're linked to you as the referrer. You can find both in the rewards section of the app.
Your referral link is a URL you can send directly. Your referral code is a short alphanumeric string the other person can enter during signup. Use whichever is easier for the situation — texting the link is usually the fastest approach.

Tap the rewards icon or navigate to the rewards section from the home screen.

Your personal referral link and code are displayed in the referral section. Tap the link to copy it to your clipboard.

Send it via WhatsApp, text message, email, or any messaging app. You can also share your referral code verbally — your friend can enter it during signup.

Your friend signs up
They download Peanut, create an account, and complete activation. If they used your link, the referral is automatic. If they have your code, they enter it during registration.

They start making payments
Once your friend begins using Peanut for payments — QR codes, transfers, or card — transactions generate revenue.

You earn rewards
A share of the revenue from their transactions is credited to your pending rewards balance. You'll see it appear in your rewards dashboard.

Make a payment, then tap the claim prompt when it appears. Your pending rewards move to your spendable balance.
What Happens After Someone Signs Up
Once your friend creates their account and activates it, three things happen:
For them: They receive two surprise rewards on their first two QR payments — $0.35 after the first and $0.65 after the second, totaling $1.00. These appear as surprise modals after each transaction. They don't need to know about these in advance.
For you: You start earning a share of revenue from every payment they make through Peanut. This appears as pending rewards in your dashboard. The earning is ongoing — it doesn't stop after a set period.
If they refer others: Your earnings extend to people they invite too. If your friend invites someone, you earn from that person's transactions as well. The chain continues — every new person added to the network below you generates potential rewards.
Where to Track Your Referrals
The rewards dashboard in the app shows your complete referral activity:
- Referral list — every person who signed up using your link or code, and whether they're active
- Pending balance — rewards earned but not yet claimed
- Earnings history — a full record of what you've earned and from which referrals
- Claim history — every reward you've moved to your spendable balance
Check the dashboard regularly to see your pending rewards. Claim them by using the app regularly. Unclaimed rewards expire after 3 months per Terms & Conditions.

Tips for Sharing Your Referral
- Share when it's relevant. If a friend mentions needing to send money abroad or pay into a local system like MercadoPago or PIX, that's the right moment.
- Explain what they get. New users receive $1.00 in surprise rewards across their first two QR payments — it's a tangible reason to try the app.
- Use the link, not just the code. The link takes them directly to the download page with your referral pre-filled. Less friction means more signups.
