What Does Peanut Support in Sweden Today?

Peanut does not support local Swish payments in Sweden today. Swish is planned, and no launch date has been announced.

Sweden has current Peanut deposit and withdrawal options, but those capabilities are separate from local spending. This page keeps that boundary explicit.

Current Peanut Availability in Sweden

Peanut currently supports deposits and withdrawals in Sweden through SEPA and supported digital-dollar networks. SEPA transfers are denominated in EUR, not Swedish kronor.

That support does not mean Peanut can pay a Swedish merchant through Swish, deliver Swedish kronor to an arbitrary bank account, or send to a Swish mobile number. None of those local-payment capabilities is available today.

Native Swish in Sweden

Swish is a widely used Swedish mobile payment service, especially for person-to-person payments. Its native service also supports business QR payments and online checkout. Standard Swish connects a mobile number to an account at a participating bank; sending payments and viewing payment history require Mobile BankID.

Planned Local Spending

Peanut lists Swish as planned. No product flow, requirements, supported QR format, pricing, or release date has been announced. Until that changes, the current Sweden capability remains deposits and withdrawals only.
