Receive money from the United States with Peanut
A business or a person in the United States can pay your own Peanut USD account by ACH or wire, within limits. You receive digital dollars.
You can receive money from the United States into your Peanut balance. The sender pays your Peanut USD account (a routing number and an account number) from their bank by ACH or wire, and does not need a Peanut account. A business can pay any amount. Another person can pay under $4,000 per payment; family who share your surname have no cap.
You open the USD account once in the app, after identity verification, and reuse its details. If you live in Texas, only your own bank account can pay into it. Residents of New York and a few restricted countries cannot open one. The details carry no reference and no amount to match. See who can pay into my account.

The direct bank route
The practical bank route from the United States is USD through ACH or wire into your Peanut USD account. Your own bank account and businesses can pay any amount. Another person can pay under $4,000 per payment, or any amount if they share your surname. A payment outside these rules is returned to the sender.
ACH arrives in 1–3 business days; a wire arrives the same day. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. Bank schedules, compliance checks, and incorrect details can add time.
The Peanut Link alternative
A Peanut Link starts with the sender. The sender funds their Peanut balance, creates the Link, and sends it to you. You open it and claim the full amount. A claim into a Peanut account is instant once the Link is funded, but that does not make the sender's earlier funding instant.
Creating a Link and claiming it into Peanut are free. One side of the Link transfer must meet the applicable verification rule. Pix and Mercado Pago are not direct Link-claim destinations; claim into Peanut first, then start a supported payment from your balance.
Use the received balance
In Argentina, an appropriately verified account can pay supported Mercado Pago merchant QRs. In Brazil, an appropriately verified account can pay supported Pix merchant QRs or use the separate Pix-key payment flow. Review the local amount, exchange rate, and digital-dollar debit before confirming.
Passport verification can support merchant QR payments without an Argentine or Brazilian bank account. Local bank deposits and withdrawals follow stricter rules: ARS routes require Argentine residence and the relevant local tax ID; BRL routes require Brazilian residence and CPF, and first-party withdrawals go to the user's own account.
Costs to check
USD needs no conversion, and Peanut adds no fee on money paid in. Opening and keeping the account is free. The sender's bank may charge its own ACH or wire fee.
A supported-network deposit is another option when both people use the same currency, network, and address shown in Peanut. Peanut covers deposit processing, while the sender's wallet or exchange may charge a withdrawal fee. Do not assume every network transfer credits at exactly 1:1.
